1. Overview

ServersRus Hosting (trading as ServersRus, "we", "us", "our") — Business Number B2026052000033, registered at Chaguanas, Trinidad and Tobago — is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use serversrus.net and our services. We process personal data in compliance with the Data Protection Act No. 13 of 2011 of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and display name from Google.

Billing Information

For bank transfers, we collect payment references, amounts, and optional screenshots you provide. We do not store credit card information.

Usage & Technical Data

We collect project activity timestamps, runtime status, and error logs to operate the service. We may log IP addresses for security purposes.

User Content

Files and code you upload to your projects are stored on our servers to run your applications.

  • To create and manage your account and projects
  • To process and verify payments
  • To send transactional emails (verification, deployment notices, billing updates)
  • To provide customer support
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • To improve our services

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in Trinidad and Tobago. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We use JWT tokens for session management.

Data breach notification: In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected clients in writing within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of the breach, describing the nature, data affected, likely consequences, and steps taken to address it.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to maintain your session (auth token and theme preference). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to that authentication. We only receive your email and name.
  • Cloudflare: Traffic to our platform passes through Cloudflare for DDoS protection and CDN services.

7. Data Retention

Client account data is retained for the duration of the agreement plus seven (7) years for compliance with the Board of Inland Revenue (BIR) and other tax obligations. Website files are held thirty (30) days post-termination, then permanently deleted. You will be notified before deletion of any data you may wish to retrieve.

8. Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act No. 13 of 2011, you have the right to:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: request deletion where no longer necessary (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Restriction: request restricted processing in certain circumstances
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdrawal of Consent: withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes and update the effective date above. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
