Terms of Service /

Lite VPS Terms

Effective date: September 24, 2026

These terms apply to ServersRus Lite VPS servers. They add to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By creating a server or paying for a VPS term, you agree to them.

1. Scope and Order of Precedence

These Lite VPS Terms ("VPS Terms") govern virtual private servers provided by ServersRus Hosting (trading as ServersRus, "ServersRus", "we", "us"). Where these VPS Terms and the general Terms of Service conflict on a VPS matter, these VPS Terms prevail. A signed Service Agreement prevails over both. Our Web Hosting Terms do not apply to VPS servers.

2. What You Get

Each Lite VPS is a virtual machine with its own Linux kernel, full root access and dedicated disk space. It runs on hardware we share with other customers.

ServerCPURAMDiskPrice / month
Nano1 vCPU, up to 50% of one core in total256 MB5 GBTTD $45
Micro1 vCPU, up to 100% of one core in total512 MB10 GBTTD $75
Small2 vCPUs, up to 150% of one core in total1 GB15 GBTTD $135

The CPU figures are hard caps. A server cannot use more CPU time than its cap, even when the host has spare capacity. ServersRus is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. Displayed prices are the total amount payable.

3. Unmanaged Service

A Lite VPS is unmanaged. You are the system administrator. We keep the host hardware, the virtualisation layer and the network running. Everything inside your server is your responsibility: operating system updates, security patches, firewall rules, the software you install, its configuration, and your data.

Our support covers the platform: creating, starting, stopping, snapshots, networking and the dashboard. We may help with problems inside your server as a courtesy, but we are not obliged to. That help is not a managed service.

4. Billing: Prepaid Terms

  • VPS servers are paid in advance, for a term of 3 months, 6 months (5% off), 12 months (10% off). The monthly prices are listed in Section 2.
  • Nothing renews automatically. We never charge you without you sending a payment. You renew by paying for another term before your current term ends.
  • If you renew early, the new term is added to the time you have left. Unused time is never lost.
  • Payment is by bank transfer in TTD, using the payment reference shown in your dashboard. Your term starts when we have verified the transfer, normally within 1 business day. You pay exactly the listed price. We add no fees.
  • We email a reminder 7, 3 and 1 days before your term ends.

5. Expiry, Suspension and Deletion

  • At the end of your term, if you have not renewed, your server is stopped. Your disk and snapshots are kept. You cannot reach the server while it is stopped.
  • Grace period: for 14 days after the end of your term, you can renew and your server restarts automatically once we confirm your payment.
  • After the 14-day grace period, the server, its disk and all of its snapshots may be permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

6. Refunds

  • Prepaid VPS terms cannot be refunded once the term has started. This includes deleting your server before the term ends.
  • We will refund duplicate payments and billing errors on our side in full.
  • If we end your service for reasons that are not your fault, we will refund the unused part of your term on a pro-rata basis.
  • We do not give refunds when we suspend or end your service because you broke these VPS Terms or the general Terms of Service.
  • Nothing in this section removes rights you have under the consumer protection laws of Trinidad and Tobago.

7. Networking

  • Shared public IPv4. Servers do not get a dedicated public IP address. Your server has a private address and reaches the internet through our shared public IPv4 address.
  • SSH to your server uses a dedicated public port, which your dashboard shows (from 22000 upwards). New SSH connections are rate-limited to protect against password-guessing and scanning.
  • Inbound traffic reaches your server only on ports you publish from the dashboard. You can publish up to 5 ports, each assigned a public port between 30000 and 39999. Standard ports such as 80 and 443 cannot be exposed directly on the shared address.
  • Reverse DNS, extra IP addresses and your own IP ranges are not available.
  • We may block or rate-limit outbound traffic to protect the shared address and the platform, including outbound mail (SMTP) ports.

8. Access, Keys and Console

  • SSH accepts key-based logins only. The root console password you choose works only on the browser console in your dashboard, not over the network.
  • If we generate an SSH key pair for you, the private key is shown once and we do not keep it. If you lose it, add a new key or use the console.
  • You can reset the console password from the dashboard. Resetting it restarts your server.
  • You are responsible for keeping your keys, your password and anything that can log in to your server secure.
  • Console input and output pass through our platform to display them in your browser. Console output is recorded in a log on our platform so the dashboard can show it. The log is deleted when the server is deleted. Anything your server prints to the console, or echoes back as you type, is stored in that log.

9. Snapshots and Your Data

  • You can take snapshots of your server's disk from the dashboard. We keep up to 3 per server. A new snapshot replaces the oldest one.
  • Your server is briefly stopped while a snapshot is taken, so that the copy is consistent. Expect a short interruption.
  • Restoring a snapshot replaces the current disk. Any changes made since that snapshot are lost.
  • Snapshots are stored on our platform, not off-site. They are deleted along with the server.

We do not back up your server automatically. Snapshots exist only when you take them. You are responsible for keeping independent copies of any data you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for data lost from a VPS.

10. Acceptable Use on a VPS

Root access does not change the Acceptable Use rules in the general Terms of Service. In addition, you must not:

  • try to break out of your virtual machine, read or interfere with other customers' servers, or reach our internal networks;
  • scan, probe, attack or send floods of traffic to any network or host, including ours, unless you have that party's written permission;
  • spoof IP addresses or other packet headers;
  • run open proxies, open mail relays, Tor exit nodes or public VPN services for others;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk email, or host content that is advertised in spam;
  • mine cryptocurrency;
  • run botnet command-and-control servers, phishing kits or malware distribution;
  • use the server to get around another service's rate limits or bans in a way that gets our shared IP address blocked.

Because every server shares one public address, abuse from one server can get that address blocked for all customers. We therefore enforce these rules strictly. If you want to do security research on our platform, get our written permission first. We welcome responsible disclosure at [email protected].

11. Abuse Reports and Suspension

  • When we receive an abuse complaint about your server, we will forward it to you. You must respond within 48 hours.
  • We may stop your server immediately and without notice if it is attacking others, sending spam, compromised, putting the platform or the shared address at risk, or if the law requires us to.
  • For other breaches, we will normally give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
  • Stopping a server does not delete it. Repeated or serious abuse may lead to termination without a refund.

12. Maintenance and Availability

We restart host systems from time to time for maintenance and security updates. After a host restart, servers that were running are started again automatically. Your software must start on boot for your services to come back. Where we can, we give advance notice of planned maintenance on our status page. Lite VPS is not covered by the Uptime SLA, which applies only to web hosting plans. We aim for high availability but make no uptime commitment for VPS servers.

13. Our Access to Your Server

We do not keep a login to your server. We do not log in to it or read its disk in the normal course of business. We may inspect a server's disk, snapshots or traffic only: (a) when you ask us to help; (b) to investigate abuse, a security incident or a threat to the platform; or (c) where the law requires it. Automated systems monitor resource usage and network traffic to operate and protect the platform.

14. Deleting Your Server

You can delete a server at any time from the dashboard. Deletion is immediate and permanent. The server's disk and all of its snapshots are destroyed and cannot be recovered. Any unused time on its term is not refunded (Section 6).

15. Liability, Law and Changes

The limitation of liability, dispute resolution process and governing law are set out in the general Terms of Service and also apply to these VPS Terms. We may update these VPS Terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email and on this page before a change that materially reduces what a VPS includes. The price of a term you have already paid for will not change.
